"The adoption of the revenue estimates is not a ... comment on policy today. That will happen either today or tomorrow. Today is to adopt that we believe that these estimates are credible, that we stand behind them, and that's our role for this morning," the committee chair said during the meeting.
Representative Paletta announced he would vote no. "I will be a no today on these revenue estimates for the mere fact that the budget contains tax increases. And I do believe that perhaps that's not in the best interest of the state of Connecticut," Representative Paletta said.
The committee conducted a roll-call vote. The motion was moved by Representative Horn and seconded by Representative Wood; the motion carried and the revenue estimates were adopted. Multiple members cast recorded yes and no votes during the roll call.
