Ada County procurement opened bids for bid 25054 (County Sheriff's Office and Marshal Office uniforms) at the June 3 meeting and read the total bid amounts for each respondent. The three responses were Curtis Blue Line ($36,424), Skaggs Company Inc. ($2,372,000) and Uniforms 2 Gear Inc. ($66,656).
Procurement staff explained the award will be based on the discount table (not the alterations table) and that evaluators need additional time to verify discounts and multipliers against the manufacturers listed on the bid. The evaluation team recommended tabling the award recommendation to the June 10, 2025 open business meeting to complete the review.
Commissioner Ryan Davidson moved to table consideration of the award to June 10; the motion was seconded and carried by voice vote. Procurement will return on June 10 with a recommendation based on its review of discount tables and compliance with bid specifications.
