The South Salt Lake City Council adopted an ordinance May 28 to amend the 2024–25 fiscal year budget as presented earlier in work sessions.
Council members said the amendment had been discussed during prior work meetings; staff identified changes affecting the administrative department, the police department and the city's debt service fund. No members of the public spoke during the hearing.
Councilmember Charlotte moved to approve the budget amendment; Councilmember Ray seconded. The council conducted a roll call and the ordinance passed on a unanimous vote.
Councilmembers thanked staff for prior briefings and indicated no additional review was needed at the meeting. The ordinance amends the current fiscal year budget per the materials reviewed at the council's work sessions.
