Bountiful council approves mutual aid pact, transformer purchase, paving and RDA remodel; voters' centers set

Bountiful city leaders on April 22 approved a slate of routine contracts and actions covering emergency IT mutual aid, equipment purchases, street overlays, utility easement changes, waterline contract extension and redevelopment agency remodel approvals.

Key approvals included a Northern Utah IT mutual-aid agreement intended to let cities lend IT staff and resources to one another in major incidents; the purchase of a GE Prolec transformer from supplier Anixter for $27,522 to restock inventory for the Renaissance Center parking garage; award of street overlay work to Black Forest Paving for projects on Fifth South and 1800 South; release of a public-utility easement on Lot 4 in the Creekside View subdivision at the developer's request; and authorization of a second and final extension of the city’s waterline contract with MC Green.

Council members also approved the list of vote centers and polling locations for the 2025 municipal election under the county’s vote-center system, and the Redevelopment Agency board ratified previously approved city items for 135 South Main Street, including architectural services, a construction contract and a guaranteed maximum price of $1,508,641 for the remodel.
