At its May 27 meeting the Mountain View City Council approved consent calendar items and related measures as follows.
- Motion to approve the consent calendar (items 4.1, 4.2, 4.3) minus item 4.4: moved by Vice Mayor Ramos, seconded by Council Member Ramedrez. That motion included: (a) adopt an ordinance renewing the Mountain View Police Department military equipment use policy and finding the action not subject to CEQA (item 4.1); (b) introduce an ordinance amending City Code Article 13 (centralized purchasing) to align with Public Contract Code section 22034 and set the second reading for June 10, 2025 (item 4.2); and (c) adopt a resolution repealing prior Human Relations Commission resolutions and establishing the Human Relations Committee (item 4.3). The motion passed unanimously.
- Pulled item 4.4 (Annual Economic Vitality Strategy progress report) was debated and then approved separately; Council Member Ramedrez made the motion to approve with additional direction and Council Member Hicks seconded; the final vote was unanimous.
- City Attorney reported no reportable action from closed session.
Votes were recorded as unanimous for the consent motion and for the separate action on item 4.4.
