Board appointments: The council considered two appointments to the board of directors of Capital Region Water (CRW). Resolution 22 (appointing Shay Swerver) passed 5 to 2; Resolution 23 (appointing Pierre O. McCoy) passed 4 to 3. Several council members said they supported the nominees’ qualifications but raised concerns about existing board service and the desire to give other residents opportunities to serve.
