City Attorney reported the council voted unanimously to authorize the city manager to enter into a settlement under which one of the other parties to the litigation will pay $100,000 to resolve the matter. The city attorney said the settlement agreement will impose no cost to the city. The council did not discuss settlement details in open session and did not identify the other contracting party in the public report.
The council adjourned after the report; staff will complete settlement paperwork and proceed as authorized.
