Board approves FY25 budget adjustments; staff to present crossover items to county commissioners

The Washington County Board of Education unanimously approved a set of FY25 budget adjustments on May 20 that staff described as budget-neutral and necessary to reforecast revenues and expenses.
Finance staff told the board the adjustments balance out from a fund-balance perspective and were reviewed by the finance committee at its May 14 meeting. With board approval, staff said the adjustments will be presented to the Board of County Commissioners because some items cross over county categories.
A motion to approve the proposed FY25 budget adjustments passed unanimously. Staff did not present an itemized list of every adjustment in open session but said the finance committee had reviewed the package and staff would bring the crossover items to the county commissioners at their first June meeting.
