Hollywood City Commission approves dozens of advisory‑board appointments; narrows city attorney search to four semifinalists
Summary
At a special meeting May 28, 2025, the Hollywood City Commission appointed members to more than a dozen advisory boards and selected four semifinalists for the city attorney vacancy. Most board slates passed unanimously; the Historic Preservation appointments passed 6–1.
Mayor Steve Levy opened the May 28 special meeting at Hollywood City Hall by saying, “Welcome to City Hall…we have the opportunity to appoint citizens to serve on our advisory boards.” The commission considered applications and heard short public remarks before voting to fill seats on multiple advisory bodies and to identify semifinalists for the city attorney search.
