County, city agree to cooperate on access road to water tower; commissioners vote to participate

FULTON COUNTY — Fulton County commissioners on June 2 approved a motion to collaborate with the city to construct an access road of about 1,300 feet to serve a site where a water tower and future development are planned.

The agreement, described during the meeting as a county-city collaboration, splits work responsibilities: the city will clear the site, purchase culvert and stone, provide equipment rental (a smart grader) and supply millings purchased from the county; the county agreed to haul the millings from its shop and provide hauling labor.
