White County commissioners approve routine minutes, claims and a slate of ordinances, contracts and transfers

The White County Board of Commissioners on June 9 approved a bundle of routine minutes and claims and took formal votes on a number of ordinances, contracts and transfers, all by voice votes recorded as "aye" without roll-call tallies.

The votes front-loaded routine business (approval of minutes and claims) and moved through several policy and procurement items, including an ordinance amending the White County Agricultural Association Reserve Fund, an ordinance establishing bulk-user fees for the county recorder, publication of an ordinance to allow collection of sex/violent‑offender registry fees consistent with state statute, a purchase of one Peterbilt dump truck for the highway department, acceptance of a contract for sales‑tax reimbursement consulting, approval of a bid from Central Paving to pave additional roads at the White County Fairgrounds, adoption of a generator maintenance agreement, and a resolution to transfer a surplus sheriff’s vehicle to a municipality.
