The project identifies five locations for improvement: four on the 100 level in the east and west sideline clubs and one on the 300 level. Staff said the work will approximately double capacity in the most affected restrooms on the 100 level and increase capacity at the 300‑level location.
As written in the agenda item, capital repairs identified as eligible create future eligibility for reimbursement from the Football Stadium Capital Fund if and when waterfall funds reach the required level. Grand Canyon Development Partners and stadium operations staff reviewed the project and staff recommended approval. A board member moved to approve and the motion passed.
Staff said most of the consultant’s recommendations were operational changes, but the identified capital repairs would be undertaken to relieve congestion at halftime and other peak times. The amendment is part of the stadium’s ongoing capital maintenance program; staff did not provide final cost detail in the public presentation.
