The Las Vegas Stadium Authority on May 22 authorized its chair to execute an interlocal agreement that sets procedures for the collection and distribution of Sports and Entertainment Improvement District (SEID) charges.
Staff said the Clark County Board of County Commissioners established the SEID by county ordinance on April 15, 2025, and that Senate Bill 1 requires the parties to agree on collection and distribution procedures. The proposed agreement formalizes coordination among the stadium authority, Clark County, the Nevada Department of Taxation and the state division of insurance.
Under the agreement, the stadium authority will coordinate with the county and state agencies to identify persons and businesses operating within the SEID so the county treasurer, Department of Taxation and Division of Insurance can establish SCID accounts and deposit revenues for later distribution to the county and the authority as provided by law. Staff recommended that the board authorize the chair to execute the interlocal agreement; a board member moved, the board voted and the motion passed.
The board thanked Clark County and state agencies for assistance in finalizing the agreement and noted the interagency work followed earlier legislative sessions and subsequent implementation efforts.
