Madison County Board approves multiple tax exemptions, budget items and administrative requests

The Madison County Board of Supervisors voted on multiple items at its June 16 meeting, approving a series of property tax exemptions and administrative measures while denying others and acknowledging routine reports.

Board members approved several 10-year personal-property exemption requests, acknowledged revocations where applications were not filed, denied late or nonconforming filings and cleared routine financial and administrative items.

The board approved the minutes from its previous meeting and approved a group of consent and routine administrative items: budget amendments and an undefined cash transfer; the general claims docket and one payroll docket; the Justice Court wedding report; per diem for the zoning commission; the FleetCorps docket; and a $115 utility-permit refund for Casey Mullins. The board also acknowledged a revised Justice Court organizational chart and approved hiring steps described by the justice court clerk.
