At the June 16 Transportation Advisory Committee meeting, members asked for clarification on the status and funding of the Kedron Road widening project and its intersections with Crossings Boulevard and Miles Johnson.
Staff reported that much of the Kedron Road improvements are phased and privately funded by developments such as Legacy Point and Kidron (Kedron) Square. Staff said earlier public-facing plans date from previous administrations and that some publicly available diagrams are out of date. The city’s obligations for additional segments or for realigning the intersection will need to be addressed during the CIP process and through coordination with developers.
Committee members asked whether the city remains responsible for certain legs of the project; staff said funding responsibilities vary by segment and that some developer-funded segments are tied to phases of the private developments. Staff said there have not been substantial updates to the city-driven portion of the project since December 2023 and recommended raising questions during the CIP prioritization process if members want to accelerate design or construction.
