The Calaveras County Board of Supervisors on Tuesday approved a proclamation recognizing June 2025 as World Elder Abuse Awareness Month in Calaveras County.
Supervisor Bridal read the proclamation, which cited the global observance and local efforts to prevent elder abuse, promote services and support older residents’ safety and dignity. Susan Gleeson, program manager of adult services, thanked the board and noted the county’s Adult Protective Services, public guardian, senior programs and partner agencies that provide outreach and support.
The board adopted the proclamation by voice vote.
