Roll call: Vice Mayor St. Clair — yes; Mayor Kenneth D. Johnson — yes; Commissioner German — yes; Commissioner Gorman — yes; Commissioner Cochin — yes.
• Sale of city-owned lots (286 Myrtle, 518 Oak and 450 Orchard): Approved to RSW Holding LLC / Arrowstone Capital LLC to build five single-family homes. Motion carried; roll call showed a majority with Commissioner German voting no.
• Parks parking-lot improvements (Contract SP92339): Contract with McCormick Sand Inc. for $621,571 approved to reconstruct parking lots at Rees Playfield, Sheldon Park, Beukema Playfield and Grand Trunk launch ramp. Vote: unanimous among present commissioners.
• Crusey Park NatureScape playground: Contract with Nature Playscapes in the amount of $152,597 approved to build a NatureScape play area at Crusey Park. Vote: unanimous among present commissioners.
• Social media policy and guidelines (Item D): Updated policy approved; motion included language changes discussed at the legislative policy committee and an administrative approach to records retention for official accounts. Vote: unanimous among present commissioners.
• Official flags (Item J): Motion to adopt city-branded Pride and Juneteenth flags was made but the commission voted to table the item to the June 24 meeting for further work and participation by absent members.
All items came forward with staff recommendations unless otherwise noted. Several items were discussed in committee before the general session; staff will return with contract documents, implementation steps and, where applicable, artwork or policy language for future meetings.
