Members said reports of excavation (reports of cuts) are on file in the office and that operators file an annual report with the state. One member cited an excavation tax of three cents per ton as the state levy on extracted material.
The board set its next regular meeting for July 14 and noted an August meeting that will include state representatives and an executive councilor to discuss recently proposed state legislation affecting local zoning and housing.
