The city’s sewer fee was noted at $31.58 (including a 3.3% CPI increase), BARWA’s pass‑through treatment fee at $3.9181 (no change to standby fee levels for vacant parcels), and the city refuse fee at $138.83 (no change for FY26 as presented).
There were no substantive public comments on the matter during the hearing; council adopted the resolution by roll call vote.
Staff noted the sanitation fund remains balanced and investments planned in the sanitation fund total roughly $1.7 million in capital projects for the year. City staff also said the BARWA treatment pass‑through fee came in lower than previously adopted projections, which staff described as a favorable outcome for ratepayers this year.
Council approved placing the listed sanitation and refuse charges on the tax roll for FY2025–26, which authorizes the county to collect the amounts as part of the regular property tax billing cycle.
