Clerk-Treasurer Michael Troxell reported donations received through May and the council voted 3-0 to accept them at the June 11 meeting.
Troxell listed monetary and in-kind donations across several funds and departments: a $250 monetary donation to the bridal control fund (in memory of April) and $122 in-kind animal control donations; employee benefit donations of $100; police department in-kind donations valued at $559.74; and National Night Out fund contributors totaling $3,967.54 from multiple businesses and individuals. The park department received $2,000 in event donations ($1,000 from DLZ Indiana LLC and $1,000 from Iron Workers Local 395) for the Pensy Pites event. Tibble Nature Reserve preserve fund received $600 in memory of Joe Guzman. Troxell gave totals as $7,417.54 in monetary donations and $710.74 in in-kind donations for a grand total of $8,120.28 for May.
A council member moved to approve acceptance of the donations and the council voted 3-0 to accept them. No restrictions or conditions on the donations were recorded during the meeting.
