Carnegie said the DAV relies on community partners and thanked the town for past support, noting an event after Memorial Day drew about 150 participants.
Organizers said 100% of proceeds from the DAV walk go to disabled veterans in the area and noted a claims-assistance seminar with national service officers will be offered Aug. 3 at the St. John Township Community Center. Organizers distributed flyers and asked for the town's continued assistance with the event.
