Athletics staff reported summer strength and conditioning programs with more than 250 youth participants and summarized plans for next season’s football schedule without the new stadium completed. The district will play three home football games in San Diego next season so seniors can have homecoming and senior night: an August opener against Corpus Christi Carroll and two October dates (one for homecoming and one for senior night), all played at the temporary San Diego site. Athletics staff said season ticket holders must redeem this year to remain on the list for the new stadium and that general admission pricing at the temporary sites will be $6 (compared with $8 previously), with further ticket information to be released before August.
The board reviewed sample chair colors and asked staff to provide additional samples if trustees wished to consider alternate metal bracket colors. Consultants said they will continue to provide monthly construction updates to the board.
