Board member Miss Quist (first name used in the transcript) asked the administration to invite ABEC to present to the district so the board could “window shop” the program and decide whether to pursue it.
Board members also praised staff after a smoke incident and evacuation at Florence K–8 during the last week of school. The board said smoke was discovered but there was no fire; staff and administrators moved students to the high school, and members praised the “all hands on deck” response and the prioritization of student safety.
The board approved the consent agenda and had no calls to the public. Members set the next regular meeting for July 8, 2025 at the district auditorium and discussed extending an upcoming work‑study session to include a book discussion starting at 5 p.m.
