Alex Film Society organizer Alan Durham announced a free summer film series in Brand Park during the Glendale City Council meeting on June 10.
Series details: The program will present four classic films on an outdoor screen in front of the doctor's house at Brand Park. Scheduled dates and films are: Saturday, June 28 — Lady and the Tramp; Saturday, July 26 — Double Indemnity; Saturday, August 23 — MGM musical highlights; and Saturday, September 27 — The Pink Panther Strikes Again. Gates open at 6 p.m.; movies begin at 7:30 p.m. Attendees are encouraged to bring folding chairs, blankets and picnics. Admission is free.
Support and partners: Durham said the series has support from the Glendale Historical Society, the Northwest Glendale Homeowners Association, Brand Associates, G and C Properties, Glendale Arts and Culture Commission, and Glendale Community Services and Parks.
