The roll-call portion of the vote recorded individual positions: Miss Stoll voted no; Miss Dow voted no; Mr. Van Winkle voted yes; Mr. Matthews voted yes; Mr. King voted yes. After the tally the board determined the motion did not receive the required number of affirmative votes and the motion failed. A member of the board noted the motion could be reintroduced at a meeting with a fuller attendance.
The discussion ended with members agreeing the classification and pay-scale structure needed comprehensive work and that the issue would be addressed again in the next budget cycle. The board did not adopt any immediate change to personnel pay scales during the special call meeting.
