Board honors Superintendent Jason Branch’s 13 years and students’ state championships and awards

The board and administration gave a formal recognition to Superintendent Jason Branch on what the chair characterized as his final board meeting after 13 years of service. The board’s remarks summarized accomplishments the administration credited to Branch’s leadership, including increases in graduation and standardized-test outcomes, expansion of staff (including special education teachers), investments in facilities and buses, and implementation of the district’s school resource officer program and other safety measures. Several students spoke at the podium to explain how those traits show up in school life.
