The Town of Lakeville Zoning Board of Appeals on June 12 approved a special permit for a detached garage at 2 O'Connor Point Drive that exceeds the town’s typical 1,000-square-foot accessory-structure threshold.
Applicants Shane and Rachel Collins said the addition is a detached two-car garage to provide additional storage; they confirmed there will be no water or sewer connections and that the structure will not be used as a dwelling. Planning staff memos from the Conservation Commission and the Board of Health were read into the record; both reported no objections if the structure has no water/sewer and is not used as a residence.
A board member moved to approve the special permit as applied for; the motion was seconded and the board voted in favor. The clerk instructed the applicants about the 14-day filing requirement and the 20-day appeal period before a permit can be issued.
