Advocates said city hosting provides better security and clickable exposure from other municipal pages. Some members raised concerns that the city template is simpler and might not support the committee's more interactive features (for example, a tax-calculator, embedded videos or the map and other visuals currently on the committee’s standalone site). Members agreed on a baby-step approach: create a simplified presence on the city website and link to the committee’s fuller site during a transition period while staff clarifies whether key tools and embedded content can be linked or ported.
Staff and committee members agreed to follow up with city website staff about technical capabilities and to maintain the existing site until the committee confirms functionality and content access on the city-hosted page.
