The Revere City building commissioner told the Ways and Means Subcommittee on June 10 that the department’s fiscal 2026 budget is largely unchanged from last year, with a small reduction in staffing.
The budget “is the same budget as last year, just a little bit of reduction. We restructured 1 of the positions and reduced 1 of the inspectors,” the building commissioner said.
The comment came during the committee’s review of the council section of the budget packet. Councilor Argencio and Councilor McKenna pressed the commissioner on how weekend and emergency calls would be handled now that the department has fewer inspectors.
