Applicant Amy Hildebrand told commissioners she and her husband are finalizing steps to purchase the property and prepare the SRU. Planning staff reported the extension request was received May 29 and that the department had recorded no complaints about the venue's operations to date.
Commissioners cautioned the applicants to complete acquisition and special-review filing promptly. Commissioner McFaul noted that a special-review application, processing, Planning Commission hearing and county hearing typically take about four months if the submission is complete, and said the board is unlikely to extend a temporary permit again if the project is not substantially advanced by December.
The board approved the extension by roll call: Commissioner McFaul, aye; Commissioner Bell, aye; Commissioner Grantham, aye. Motion carries.
