The Wright County Board of Supervisors convened a regular meeting on June 2, 2025. The board approved the tentative agenda, read and approved minutes of the May 27 meeting, received a monthly revenue report from the Wright County Sheriff for May and adjourned following other business.
Key formal actions recorded in the meeting minutes and by voice vote included a motion to table a county attorney’s office manager salary increase to June 16 and the authorization for bank account controls and named user access (the latter was recorded as approved; see separate article on the treasurer’s program).
Sheriff’s revenue report: The board received a monthly revenue report for May with line items read into the record as: county car service fees and mileage $2,125.25 and 40¢ (as read), county new and renewal weapons permits $620, copy deed $10, with a reported total of $2,755.40. Attendance and logistics: Chairman Rasmussen called the meeting to order at 9:03 a.m. Supervisors present were Cloos, Bosch, Rasmussen, Lukes and Ellis. The meeting included reports from the secondary roads department, a developer presentation on a proposed wind project in southern Wright County, a presentation by the treasurer on banking controls, and a discussion about maintenance and possible replacement of the Lake Cornelia siren.
