The Davis County Commission on June 10 approved a lease for Farmington American Legion Post 27 in the Memorial Courthouse, adopted a county "privacy space" compliance policy, accepted a $4,375 contract amendment for the Medical Reserve Corps, approved a cost-sharing agreement for the firefighter and public-safety surviving-spouse trust fund, and authorized criminal-justice information agreements for sheriff's office and jail personnel to access the Utah Criminal Justice Information System (CJIS). The items were approved by voice vote during the 6 p.m. meeting in the Commission Chambers at the Main Administration Building.
The commission adopted the policy described in the meeting as the "privacy space compliance" policy to align county practice with provisions of the Utah code. Lane Rose, Davis County facilities director, presented a lease for Farmington American Legion Post 27 for space in the Memorial Courthouse with a term beginning June 10, 2025 and ending in June 2030. Rose said the post has been a long-standing, respectful tenant and has helped maintain flags and assisted at county events.
