Senate committee backs resolution urging federal support for U.S. Forest Service funding

Senator Grove said she supported the resolution but cautioned against politically charged language that could complicate advocacy in Washington.
Supporters included Audubon California, Sierra Club, Defenders of Wildlife and other conservation groups. No organized opposition testified. The committee moved AJR 10 for adoption and recorded a roll call; the resolution was placed on call during the hearing.
