Miles Slattery, City Manager for the City of Eureka, described the city's employee childcare program that began in fiscal 2018-19. Slattery said the city repurposed an underused municipal building, secured State pre-kindergarten certification and grew capacity to 30 spots, with roughly 16 reserved for city employees.
