The Olathe Planning Commission held its annual officer elections and re-elected Wayne Janner as chair and selected Taylor Breen as vice chair.
Janner expressed willingness to continue, saying his term runs through September 2026 and that he plans to serve through that time. A commissioner formally nominated Janner; the commission took a voice vote and the motion passed unanimously.
For vice chair, commissioners nominated Taylor Breen, who was not present but had told commissioners he was willing to serve another year. Commissioners moved and approved the nomination by voice vote, 7–0.
Chair Janner and several commissioners also thanked staff and commissioners for their service. Planning staff announced two recent public open houses for the Elevate Olathe comprehensive plan update and encouraged residents to review materials and a survey online at olatheks.gov/elevateolathe to provide feedback; staff said comments were still being accepted in the coming week.
Votes and procedure: Voice votes were used for both officer elections and recorded as passing 7–0. The commission then adjourned.
