Teachers' union says district contract and updated heat policy are missing from CUSD website

"As professional educators, the members of ACT are deeply committed to the success of every student," Molineux said at the meeting. She noted the contract was ratified in December and that Article 1.2 of the agreement requires the contract be posted to the district website within 30 days of ratification; that posting had not occurred as of the ACT report dated May 28, 2025.
Molineux also told the board the only heat-policy document she could find on the district site was the 2017 policy; she said members had been relying on a Coronado Times article and board minutes for details of any updated policy and asked the district to post the current heat policy and the ratified contract for staff access.
Board members acknowledged the report; no formal action was taken during the meeting. The union's concerns were presented as requests to the district to post the documents so members can access contract provisions and the most recent heat-policy guidance on the official district site.
