Torrance Refining Company donates $20,000 to support Torrance Summer Nights festival

The Torrance City Council accepted a $20,000 donation from Torrance Refining Company LLC to support the third annual Torrance Summer Nights festival.
Cultural services staff described the festival as a free public program running June 7 through Aug. 30 at the Wilson Park Amphitheater, featuring live music, movies, art and theater. Jaswina Lafayette, community relations adviser for Torrance Refining Company, presented the check and said the company is "pleased... to be here tonight to present our donation of $20,000 for the annual City of Torrance Summer Nights Festival." Lafayette thanked the city and cultural services staff for organizing the program.
Council members and staff expressed appreciation for the corporate sponsorship, and the council took photos with festival organizers and donors.
