Council authorizes memorandum with Pasadena PD for mutual‑aid reimbursement from Eaton fire response

The Torrance City Council approved a memorandum of agreement (MOA) between the City of Torrance and the Pasadena Police Department to process reimbursement for mutual‑aid services the Torrance Police Department provided during the Eaton fire.
Chief of Police Bob Dunnessy described the MOA as a reimbursement agreement for mutual aid following the Eaton fire and requested council authorization for the city manager to execute the agreement and related documents. "Item 10 b is a recommendation of the chief of police and the city manager to approve a memorandum of agreement between the Pasadena Police Department and the city of Torrance for mutual aid...and to authorize the city manager [to] execute and administer the agreement," Dunnessy said.
There were no public speakers on the item. The council moved and seconded the recommendation, which carried with Council Member Sheikh absent. The agreement is a precursor to reimbursement to the Torrance Police Department for services provided during the Eaton fire.
