The Lago Vista Charter Review Committee on Saturday approved updated minutes, designated a committee representative for a City Council meeting tomorrow and recommended several technical and clarifying edits to the city charter, after extended review of Articles 9, 10 and 11.
Linda Harris, chair of the Charter Review Committee, called the meeting to order at 4 p.m. and opened discussion on scheduling and next steps. “I'm going to call the meeting of the charter review committee to order,” Harris said. The committee agreed that Robert Owen, the committee secretary, would serve as the spokesperson if the City Council asks for the committee to present its recommendations; Owen said he could “answer questions about the recommendations that the collective committee has put forth.” Several committee members indicated they will attempt to attend the council meeting if schedule permits.
