Argyle business leader updates MDD on Argyle Business Association growth and offers partnership

Lynn Seiden, owner of Seiden Photography, addressed the Argyle Municipal Development District during the open forum to update the board on the Argyle Business Association’s recent growth and to invite partnership between the association and the MDD.
“We are at the end of our third month of the new version of the Argyle Business Association,” Seiden said. She told the board the association recently reached 100 paid members, has been attracting roughly 82 attendees to an 8 a.m. weekly business coffee meeting (prompting the addition of a second 10:30 a.m. session), and had added five new members in the prior 24 hours.
Seiden described the group as a hybrid of a chamber of commerce, a networking organization and a civic club offering leadership training and peer support to local businesses. She said the association will soon launch a youth-in-business club led by a board member to support young entrepreneurs in town.
Seiden thanked the MDD for becoming a member and sponsor and said she would provide monthly updates if the board desired greater accountability for taxpayer-funded sponsorships. She invited board members to visit the association’s meeting at the Settlers Center next to PointBank.
No other members of the public had signed up to speak during open forum.
