Board of Equalization approves city assessments, township values and keeps agricultural land values unchanged

At its county equalization session the Ramsey County board approved city assessments, municipality-contracted township values, two townships' independent assessor values, inundated-land classification applications and left agricultural land values unchanged for the coming year.
The Ramsey County Board of Commissioners, sitting as the county board of equalization, approved a slate of assessment-related items including city-submitted assessments, township valuations and the county's agricultural land values for the coming tax year.
Beth, speaking for the county assessor's office, presented the packet. The commission voted to approve the city assessments submitted and reported that townships contracted with the county assessor's office had completed their reviews. The board approved values for two townships that supply their own assessors and approved inundated-land classification applications sent through the county assessor's office.
On agricultural land valuation, the assessor recommended leaving values the same as the prior year, in tolerance with the state. Commissioners voted to keep agricultural land-values unchanged for the upcoming year. The board also confirmed there were no public comments for the equalization items and then adjourned the county equalization meeting.
All motions were presented during the county's equalization session and carried by voice vote.
