At its June 2 meeting, the Lindon City Council voted on minutes, a consent-agenda contract and an ordinance. Key actions were:
- Approval of city council minutes from May 19, 2025. Motion moved by Councilmember Jake Hoyt and seconded; recorded as unanimous.
- Approval of the consent agenda, which included a contract with the Mountainland Association of Governments for senior center meals for the coming fiscal year. The council approved the consent agenda by motion (mover: Councilmember Van Broderick; second: Councilmember Lincoln Jacobs). Staff noted the county and federal funding that supports the program has decreased, and Heath will follow up with county representatives to clarify why funding levels changed.
- Adoption of Ordinance 2025-6-O to permit one urn to be buried above a casket in an existing burial lot. The ordinance was adopted following a public hearing; the motion carried unanimously.
All recorded council votes were unanimous; two council members were absent for the meeting. Additional items included presentations and staff reports but no other formal votes were recorded for passage.
