Police Commission approves consent reports, holds closed session and limits disclosure

The San Francisco Police Commission on May 21 voted unanimously to receive and file the items on its consent calendar, voted to go into closed session under the San Francisco Administrative Code, and later voted not to disclose deliberations from that closed session except for certain non-privileged factual information.

At the start of the meeting the commission approved the consent calendar by voice vote. The motion on the consent calendar was recorded as “Motion to receive and file.” The tally recorded at the meeting was five yes votes and no recorded opposition.

The commission then voted to convene a closed session under San Francisco Administrative Code Section 67.1(d). After returning to open session, the commission considered whether to disclose discussions held in closed session and approved a motion “to not disclose with the exception of non-privileged factual information on items 9a and 9b, which will be provided in the minutes.” That motion carried on a 5-0 vote as recorded at the meeting.
