North Las Vegas libraries to unveil Raiders-branded library card June 21; 30,000 cards ordered

Library staff told trustees on May 27 that the district will unveil a Las Vegas Raiders–branded library card on June 21 and that 30,000 cards were on order.
Staff said the Raiders have worked with the district on a special card design specific to North Las Vegas and that library patrons who already hold a card can exchange it for the new design. Staff suggested the card will be promoted during the summer learning challenge and again in September for Library Card Sign-up Month.
Trustees asked whether cards could be reserved for patrons who will be out of town; staff said they would set aside cards on request. No formal action was required; this was announced as a staff comment during the meeting.
