Caspersen said the corridor widening began in 2019 and was completed in a phased approach. Phase 1 widened the roadway between about 2600 North (Washington Boulevard North) and roughly 2975 North. The original right of way was about 102 feet; the project reduced that to about 92 feet to help lower costs.
