Senate advances large batch of measures: calendar votes and roll calls on tax and other bills
Summary

- Multiple sequential calendar items listed on the 700–840 calendars (largely tax-law enactments and chapter amendment bills) were each read for the last section and recorded as taking effect immediately; most were announced passed with reported tallies such as "Ayes 50, Nays 9" or "Ayes 51, Nays 8," depending on the calendar item.
The transcript shows handfuls of senators repeatedly recorded in the negative on clusters of tax-law items; the negative votes were reported in roll-call announcements (the transcript names multiple senators voting no on those calendar items).
