Council approved consent agenda items 6a through 6e by unanimous vote. Items included approval of minutes for the May 13, 2025 regular meeting; construction agreements for multiple 2025 playground replacement projects; appointments to the Flatiron Improvement District independent board of directors; agreements for Jefferson Academy track improvements; and a resolution delegating signature authority to the city and county manager for construction agreements on interim widening work on State Highway 7 from I‑25 to Sheridan Parkway.
Brian Graham, CIP program manager, clarified that the playground replacement program’s 2025 budget of $900,000 was supplemented by approximately $88,000 rolled from 2024, enabling work on four playground replacements. Staff also explained the State Highway 7 procurement timeline was extended at Colorado Department of Transportation’s request and that delegated authority would allow the city to expedite contracting should bid results fall within authorized amounts; if bids exceed budgeted amounts, staff said the project would return to council for direction and could be delayed until spring 2026.
The consent-item motion passed on an electronic vote displayed to the council and recorded as unanimous among members present.
