County staff report amendment to HB 3069 that delays some CJC committee changes until 2026

Deschutes County staff updated commissioners on House Bill 3069, a Community Justice Council (CJC) bill intended to consolidate multiple review committees into one panel and adjust membership and timing requirements.
Doug Riggs summarized the bill and said a dash-6 amendment addressed many county concerns by postponing implementation and altering administrative cost provisions. "An amendment came out this week, the dash 6 amendment that attempted to address some of the concerns that had been expressed by the counties," Riggs said.
