Riverton police report arrests and special enforcement activity; chief asks for additional detective support

Riverton Police Chief briefed the council on an enforcement initiative begun in November: a special enforcement team (SET) focused on violent fugitives, fraud, drug activity, theft and vehicle prowls. Council members asked clarifying questions about arrest and calls-for-service trends; the chief said while total call volume has some variation, the complexity and severity of cases have increased and investigators are logging substantial hours on complex investigations.
