The Fresno City Council voted 7–0 May 22 to adopt resolutions and an ordinance annexing territory to Community Facilities District (CFD) No. 11, Annexation 153, and to levy a related special tax.
Councilmember Luis Perea made the motion and the vice president seconded; there was no public comment on the matter. Planning staff advised the council there were no questions from council and recommended approval. The measure passed unanimously.
Why it matters: Annexation into a CFD allows the city to collect a special tax on the property to pay for infrastructure and services associated with new development in the district. The city’s staff presentation noted the item was in Council District 1 and that no public speakers attended the hearing.
Technical note: The council closed the public hearing, heard no public testimony, and approved the resolutions and ordinance by roll‑call vote.
